So I assume, something is wrong with your libGL. Maybe some previous driver left an incompatible version behind. Which hardware and driver were you using before switching to tdfx? Make sure that glxinfo is using the correct libGL: ldd `which glxinfo`. >From which Debian package does libGL come on your system: dpkg -S /usr/lib/libGL.so.1.2? Does reinstalling that package help?
