Summary: D3 1.4.0a / black-screen problem with tdfx at 16bpp
Details: Hello all,
I installed the 1.4.0a patch for D3/Linux and was surprised to see that it
resulted in a black-screen first ;-(... after several minutes I found out
that switching to a VT (ctrl-alt-f1) and back to X (alt-f7) brought D3 back
to live ;-) !
Furthermore, every time the resoultion changes (i.e when starting a game)
this happens as well. The workaround works all the time.
Then I saw this "new" brightness slider in the config menu. Tried it -
and... it happed again.
The strange thing about it is that when I start X in 24/32bpp it WORKS FINE
! But this is unplayable for me, because my Voodoo 5 is currently not
supported in SLI mode. But I'm quite sure that it is a driver problem (V5
