I'm having problems building DRI from a pull this morning (27 Jan 2001).
The problem is in drmRadeonClear; the build error says that it is being
used with an incorrect number of arguments and radeon_dri.so fails to build.
This prevents make install from working correctly.
I tried with 2.4.1-test10 and now, fearing a kernel problem, 2.4.0
(vanilla). No matter the kernel, the same error unless I removed ati
from the list of drivers to build. Once I tell it not to build ati
drivers, the compile goes fine and installs fine (however, see PS
below). (Note: May have questions above Voodoo5 tomorrow after more
Now, however, using cvs with -D 'last week' to pull 21 Jan 2001 version
of the DRI source, I get a clean build. I'm going to try installing it
and trying it out, but I thought I'd point this out.
If I have overlooked an obvious configuration or am just making a
bonehead error, go ahead and flame me. Also, if you need me to get the
*exact* error message, let me know. It just takes a while to pull the
DRI source again and get that far into the build (on my system).
Sorry to bother you if this is user error,
PS. Why is there still an error with GLw when building? Seems weird to
me that I still have this problem that I saw last December. I know how
to disable it and once I do that it's not a problem, but it seems odd
that the default setting causes a normal build to trip over that. Again,
is this user configuration error on my part?
