I am using a PII/266 with a V3 2k PCI. I installed the
CVS from 20 April over the first official XF4 release.
I am running an in-window visualization program that
First of all, I am really excited to have the hardware
acceleration running, I have a performance gain of
about factor 10-20. TNX to everyone working so hard on
Now, I have some problems with the DRI rendering. All
of this is fine when forcing indirect with
LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT, and all of these problems were
already present in the original XF4 release.
a) OpenGL command glDrawBuffer(GL_NONE) is not
working, I fixed this using
b) fog is not working, I only have two or three fog
shades (with a 16bit depth buffer). Hinting GL_BEST
for GL_FOG_HINT didn't change anything.
c) line antialiasing is not working, setting
GL_LINE_HINT to GL_BEST didn't change anything
d) linewidth is not working, except for clipped lines
(meaning that the piece remaining on the screen gets
the width set with glLineWidth); width is always 1.0
e) after creating an offline rendering context into a
X-Pixmap, upon returning to the original (direct) one,
X gives me GLXBadContextTag Errors when trying to
render into the original context.
Again, using indirect rendering does not show any of
these problems, so I figure it must be DRI related
(correct assumption ?).
