I tracked it down to the below line in xc/xc/config/cf/host.def: /* Optionally turn this on to force build with font anti-alaising */ /* #define Freetype2Dir /usr/X11R6 */ When it is uncommented then compilation brakes. How we get font anti-alaising, now? -Dieter |

Nathan, your tdfx Xv "testxv" patches are missing and the banding and ghost effects at 1280x1024x24 are still present... Second: KDE 2.1 Kpager interfere with 3D texture memory. When it is present the OpenGL textures are broken. So long, Dieter |

The Xv changes were in the DRI trunk. They'll probably not appear in 4.0.x. You'll need to wait for 4.1.x or use DRI CVS. The changes are not bugfixes: they're partial rewrites, new options, etc. So they're not suitable for a 4.0.x release. Regarding the banding: I've not looked at XFree86/DRI code in nearly 4 weeks. I've had some important thesis work, and other issues. I'll take a poke at the problem later (if someone else doesn't beat me to it first). It might be the YUV width limitation of 1024 pixels. Have you seen this with overlay and/or textured xvideo? -- The more I know about the WIN32 API the more I dislike it. It is complex and for the most part poorly designed, inconsistent, and poorly documented. - David Korn |
