Hi all, I will create a config-0-0-1-branch tomorrow and commit the current status of the new DRI configuration. So far the libGL part works and the functions for drivers to parse the driver's XML document and configuration files and for querying options exist. For testing I modified the radeon driver to use the new scheme, but it doesn't query any options yet. The next steps will be to make existing drivers use the new configuration scheme and implement the most wanted options. At the same time the parsing functions will get more testing. One more issue: DRI CVS doesn't currently include the expat library. For now I link the driver with libexpat from my distribution. With the planned DRI repository changes in mind, should we import it from XFree86 into DRI CVS now? What about libexpat and binary snapshots? We could either link libexpat statically or require XFree86 4.3 which includes expat. I'm experiencing the same behaviour with GTK-Radiant when bending patches. Rendering options in the menu don't have an effect, near invisible purple dots. (in tutorial screenshots they show up as the bigger boxes as seen in in your soft rendering shots) I was going to update to latest DRI trunk (running 2 months old snapshot ) But I'm cautious due to some warnings on the list lately. I'm using a R250 ( Radeon 9000) Paul. |

Before, we discussed changing includes of stdint.h to inttypes.h because some of the systems using the DRI (NetBSD and FreeBSD-stable) don't have stdint.h available, while NetBSD, FreeBSD, and linux all have inttypes.h. The following patch successfully built on my system, but I was wondering: Do we need any sort of guard around inttypes.h in glxext.h (I removed the stdint one)? Is there anything special that has to be done when committing to xc/extras/Mesa/ to make sure it makes it into the Mesa tree? I'm leaving early tomorrow morning, until July 11th, so I probably won't commit this myself because I won't be around. -- Eric Anholt eta@... http://people.freebsd.org/~anholt/ anholt@... |

Not for me (r200) and Celestia (1.3.0 "Follow Earth [Earth]"). There are random polygons/triangles/stripes in the left below area of the earth. BTW * Celestia starts with wrong (no) textures of Io/Jupiter (sometimes Jupiter isn't visible) from time to time? * The earth ("Follow Earth [Earth]") and the Mars ("Mars Fly-by") have a blue/red "silhouette" at the lighted side. * e.g. Some GL windows have to be "clicked" or moved to be rendered after start. [This e-mail has been automatically generated.] You have one or more bugs assigned to you in the Bugzilla bugsystem (http://bugs.xfree86.org/) that require attention. All of these bugs are in the NEW state, and have not been touched in 7 days or more. You need to take a look at them, and decide on an initial action. Generally, this means one of three things: (1) You decide this bug is really quick to deal with (like, it's INVALID), and so you get rid of it immediately. (2) You decide the bug doesn't belong to you, and you reassign it to someone else. (Hint: if you don't know who to reassign it to, make sure that the Component field seems reasonable, and then use the "Reassign bug to owner of selected component" option.) (3) You decide the bug belongs to you, but you can't solve it this moment. Just use the "Accept bug" command. To get a list of all NEW bugs, you can use this URL (bookmark it if you like!): http://bugs.xfree86.org//cgi-bin/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?bug_status=NEW&assigned_to=dri-devel@... Or, you can use the general query page, at http://bugs.xfree86.org//cgi-bin/bugzilla/query.cgi. Appended below are the individual URLs to get to all of your NEW bugs that haven't been touched for a week or more. You will get this message once a day until you've dealt with these bugs! http://bugs.xfree86.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=25 http://bugs.xfree86.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=62 http://bugs.xfree86.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=78 http://bugs.xfree86.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=98 http://bugs.xfree86.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=118 http://bugs.xfree86.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=131 http://bugs.xfree86.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=185 |

I've completed adding page flip support to the i810 driver, (patch will follow in a couple of days when i clean it up a bit)... However I'm seeing window border artifacts when I drag my 3d window around the screen ... I'm using the shadowfb module but I also get similar artifacts using the mi-shadow module, my setup is twm, and glxgears, when i drag the gears window I sometimes get lines trailing the edges of the windows... it looks like it could be an issue in the shadow code (out by one or something similiar)... does any other card do proper page flipping support (i.e. works beautifully :-), i've had to add code to the i810_accel.c when page flipping is enabled to draw all 2d objects to both front and back buffers, but I don't see this elsewhere, otherwise my window manager looked seriously sick.... does XAA draw anything else without going via the i810_accel functions? if so they may be where my issue lies... the artifacts look to be only in one of the buffers (haven't checked which one)... I've just uploaded the documentation for the Radeon DRM module (includes documentation for the device-independent files), the AGPGART module and Radeon framebuffer device. Links at the bottom of http://jrfonseca.dyndns.org/projects/dri/ . These are provisory -- they don't contain all files due to the subsetting. I'll make more definitive versions after merging the kernel documentation to the trunk, which should happen in the next days. José Fonseca |
