Hi,

I had also such warnings after I got DRI to work on a ATI Rage Mobility P/M (with only 8 MB RAM onboard).
That means that, even if DRI is working and OpenGL stuff too, the card can't handle AIGLX and 3D Desktop, because of the little RAM!

So I put in xorg.conf:

Section "ServerFlags"
Option "AIGLX" "off"
EndSection
Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Disable"
EndSection
turning off all the 3D Desktop related stuff, and there is no more messages... and OpenGL is working...
But, in your case, I don't know if it is for the same reason (not enough RAM) or if it is a driver problem?
Perhaps you have to compare between the free and proprietary driver, if it is still the same results?
I don't know more technicals about your specific card or driver, sorry, but I wish you good luck.

FSW

Objet : [Dri-users] Claims to Not Support Visual (rv280)

I have a rv280 based card (Radeon 9250) and in my xorg log I see these
messages:

(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x23
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x24
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x25
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x26
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x27
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x28
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x29
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x2a
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x2b
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x2c
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x2d
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x2e
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x2f
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x30
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x31
(WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x32

I'm running Mesa-7.0.3 and xorg-server-1.4.2 on
GNU/Linux-2.6.23.11-rt14.

Is there some documentation on what these "visuals" correspond to?. Is
it actual hardware that doesn't support something or is it the driver
not having implemented certain features?.
