Hello!
I have debian woody (with dri support from the distro),
kernel 2.4.17, ati radeon 32 Mb sdr, and i have tried
installing the new version of dri.
I have downloaded the dri package
(radeon-20020901-linux.i386.tar.bz2) and the extras
package (extras.tgz) because i have Xfree 4.1.
I couldn't run a gl app that before the install i did.
The error was:
Radeon DRI driver:
Compatibility mode for DRM driver version 1.1.1
TCL will be disabled, expect reduced performance
(prefer DRM radeon.o 1.3.x or newer)
disabling TCL support
visualizar: radeon_ioctl.h:167: radeonAllocCmdBuf:
Assertion `rmesa->dri.drmMinor >= 3' failed.
Abortado
So i tried downloading the last drm kernel modules
(from the downloads page too). I compiled and copied
the new radeon.o into the /lib/modules/2.4.17/.......
directory, But i had the same error after rebooting the
computer (not only the xserver).
I don't know how solve the problem, so please... Help
me!!!!
Thanks,
Santiago Rodriguez.
