After cloning /dev/sda1 and /dev/sda2 the /dev/sda3 ran for about an hour, got to 57.03% (block 7651458 of 240108031) and appeared to just hang indefinitely. After giving it 1.5 hours to try to do something, I rebooted the computer.
Any hints? Obviously it can see both the source and target drive (target is connected via USB). Hoping a re-do will be "magic", but have my doubts.
The reason I am cloning this is the source disk is throwing "eminent failure" warnings.... Windows 7, UEFI platform.
Are there any "expert mode" command options I might try if this second attempt using "beginner settings" does not make it?

In that case, maybe it's hardware issue making the cloning hang there. If so, maybe you should try another program "ddrescue" for this kind of purpose.
