I try to set up a small callcenter environment with DRBL and I have some questions about how to aproach this.
I'm using asterisk@home (centos 4.2) on the server
And I want to make the clients boot from the network.
How can I modify a boot image to make sure that there are only some applications (java and firefox/mozilla) available?
The clients should also be accesible via VNC to do remote support for the user.
Is there some dokumentation out there which I was not yet able to find?
Another question is if it is possible to share a network drive of the server among all clients (should contain the .jar Java application)
Thanks for your help,
regards,
Gerwin

i think this is not the subject of DRBL/CloneZilla job(s)
you need to create a master from CentOS default install to your CentOS configuration.
you could use, for that, many many possibilities :
simply :
in a virtual machine install CentOS
customize CentOS for yours needs
clone it with CloneZilla (or directly in a pxe boot on drbl/clonezilla for save part fonction)
Then now yours clients must have only the CentOS you serve to them...
(here, we are using the kickstart fonction + home program / scripts. And now, we must do in near future the migration of all kickstart configurations for All Linux RedHat Workstations to new system based on drbl/clonezilla. (clonezilla better industrial choice than kickstart. H.P ignite quality / possibility like)
I choice for that to have 4 differents masters models (one for each nis domain, local town first time...) and pass configurations scripts into clonezilla possibilities, and others programs / scripts in a boot service for first reboot after installation / re-installation). What a strong work !
keep the good way, ;) drbl/clonezilla could many thing for you, too.
