Is it possible to have the DRBL server to act like an MS pre-install server. Most of our systems can be imaged but we have a few odd balls that need a clean install. Is it possible to mount an ISO or run the XP setup this way?

Is this still true. Win2008R2 Trials only come on DVDs but the machines only have cd-rom drives. So i would like to be able to put dvd sized ISO up on CloneZilla / drbl server and launch installs from there. Do i to make a loopback mount into the ISO image?

unattended.SourceForge.net allows you to boot about any CD ISO image via tftp. If i can find their perl script that makes this possible, what clonezilla script would be modified?
i mean there is this forum posting about making a MS like RIS install server by copying the contents of DVD ISO images to a harddrive, but i would think it is possible to PXE boot an ISO over the LAN. My other reason is security, if any of those files get changed maliciously, then the DVD is no longer golden. https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=6140494

Well, for the time being, I would say no. Since pxelinux/syslinux does not support such a boot. However, in the future, with gpxe, it's possible.

I believe you still have to prepare a RIS server to do the network installation for MS Windows.

I believe you have to modify /tftpboot/nbi_img/pxelinux.cfg, not the Clonezilla script.

This would make a great addition to the - otherwise already fantastic - drbl.
