Running Slackware 14.2 x64 here.
Downloaded the latest stable Clonezilla.
Extracted to the flash drive.
Went su and changed to the /utils/linux
when running makeboot.sh I get this error
On x86-64 system, you should install libc6-i386 (for Debian/Ubuntu) or glibc.i686 (for Fedora/CentOS/OpenSuSE) package so that the required libraries to run 32-bit program /tmp/linux_tmp.psfjJp/syslinux exist.
I don't run any 32-bit programs so what's going on?

It's because the syslinux program comes with Clonezilla live (utils/linux/syslinux) is a 32-bit program. That's why it need i386 libs. I am not sure if Slackware provides its version of syslinux, if so, you can modify makeboot.sh to use the syslinux from Slackware.

I'ts 2019 now and same error still.
Making another usb stick with Clonezilla and got the same error.
Yes, still on Slackware 14.2 x64. It's a pure x64 distro, I have no 32bit stuff installed and don't intend to.
Why is Clonezilla still using 32bit syslinux?
