    Hi all!

I have a problem with 4 of our 5 "Education-Notebooks". Before we had OSX and Win7 on this machines, on different patitions with GPT and hybrid MBR. We could image then via Clonezilla.

Since i upgraded the Win7 to Win 10, 4 of 5 of the machines are not imageable because clonezilla has a problem with the gpt mbr. (http://drbl.org/faq/fine-print.php?path=./2_System/116_unmatched_partition_table.faq#116_unmatched_partition_table.faq) - The thing is i can't kill gpt because i NEED the OSX patition table. In following thread i read about changing the hybrid MBR to a protecting MBR could help. (http://www.macuser.de/threads/bootcamp-partitions-problem-10-7-10-9-gpt-vs-mbr.701031/) Should i try this? I don't want to mess up the hole "construction".

Interessting is, that one machine had no problem with the upgrade and clonezilla backups & restores this one without problems as well. The thing is i can't find any difference. Some Ideas?

I tried it with my old clonezilla version as well with the newest available (2.4.7.8).
The option dd with clonezilla doesn't work as well because clonezilla wants this "MBR - GPT" really fixed, don't get it because with the option dd clonezilla shouldn't "use" the partitiontables because it makes a copy of the hole thing right?

Hope for good guy greg ;-)
    Regards
    Manu

Yes, changing the hybrid MBR to a protecting MBR should help. However, make sure you have all the data backup, just in case.
