Hi, I'm trying to save an image of my disk on my new laptop. It is a MSI GT70-0ND. It is configured using UEFI, and there are precious few live linux CDs that will boot on this system using UEFI. I don't know if it is too new, or if the firmware on it is buggy or what, but I did update the bios and the firmware on it to the latest versions. The latest version of clonezilla will boot to the grub menu, but no matter which option I choose, the screen just goes black and the system hangs. The cd drive stops spinning after about 60 seconds (or when using a flash stick, the light stops flashing after about 10 seconds).
I even booted to an rEFInd boot disk, and pointed to the boot image using that, but the same exact thing happens.
So, my question is this: How do I get clonezilla live to boot on this laptop?
This is my second one of these laptops (the first was returned), and the problem is the same. What can I do?
Thanks.
G

So your question is nothing to do with DRBL? It's about Clonezilla live?
If so, please post it on Clonezilla forum or mailing list.
