    Hi, I am trying to clone a kubuntu VM running in VirtualBox(6.1.0) in windows 10 machine to a usb 3 flash drive using clonezilla live(2.6.4-10) but it is telling me that there should be at least 2 harddisks. I used to be able to clone with this kind setup before so what changed?

    Options used: device-device -> beginner -> disk_to_local_disk

    I've attached the clonezilla.log and the fdisk output.

    Did you mean that Clonezilla does not detect your USB flash drive in the VM? If so, make sure you have correctly setup the VM to access your USB device.

    Hi Steven, yes the Clonezilla was not able to use but able to detect my USB flash drive as shown in the screenshot. You can see I have two drives in there(/dev/sda and /dev/sdb). It was just unable to use the second drive.

    I tried using an older version of this, the latest version of 2.5.x and it was able to use my USB flash drive. So did anything change?

    Not sure if it's Linux kernel regression. IIRC, we did not change anything related to this.
    How about giving testing Clonezilla live a try? e.g., 2.6.5-12 or 20200114-focal:
    https://clonezilla.org/downloads.php
    They come with newer Linux kernel so it might help.
