I've just checked in a version of search.htm which has been slightly manicured to improve its 'htmlness' as described by the W3C validator. (Perhaps to celebrate WaSP's return to Slashdot today!) I've also added a link to the FAQ on the help page. As there is some probability that I've broken something, could those who are willing please take this search.htm from CVS and try it. Separately, do other people find that the help window is slow to display? It takes several seconds here, which is perhaps due to the fantastically complex way of picking it up out of a comment in search.htm and converting it to HTML with a heap of search and replaces. What's the rationale for this complicated way of generating an HTML page? Why isn't there just an 'help.htm' file as part of the project (I accept that the search list would have to be built on the fly)? Will |
