[DQSD-Devel] search.xml - what is it?

I'm just playing with the search.htm file, trying to tidy it a 
little.   One thing which seems odd is the amount of stuff squatting 
between the end of the head element and the beginning of the body 
element.  Is there any need for this stuff to live outside the real document?

One thing in there is a line <xml id='searchxml' src='search.xml'></xml> 
which I don't understand.   Judging by Glenn's post on 17/5/02, this is 
obsolete - can I remove it/comment it out?
