I don't think so - you should probably add them.

It's quite entertaining to put search.htm through the W3C validator.  (I 
manually told it that the file was 4.0 transitional).

It's probably moot, because we're unlikely to need x-browser compatibility 
for this deskbar, but it might be a good thing to straighten things up a bit.

What do people think about that?   I'm happy to do it, and I'll even use 
spaces instead of tabs.
