#76 Email Notification!!

I know this feature request doesn't exactly fit the mold
of a "search" tool... But actually the reason why I found
out about the DQSD was that I was googling around for
a deskbar that I could use to display the sender and
subject of incoming emails.

I work at a company where there are always emails
going around to the whole group, and only a minority of
the emails I recieve actually need immediate attention.
Still, when my taskbar 'new email' notification shows up,
I cannot help myself from stopping what I'm doing and
checking what the new mail is. If I could see the sender
and subject in my task bar, that would save me a lot of
time, swapping from window to window and losing my
train of thought.

I realize that this would require quite a bit of extra code
in terms of all of communications with the mail server,
etc. Maybe one simpler alternative would be just to
have some kind of simple general purpose interface to
DQSD for posting messages of all kinds to it. Then the
user could configure their email client to call this
interface whenever a new mail is recieved (most email
clients have the capability of calling an external
application upon recieving new emails)

Perhaps this is already possible within the framework of
the DQSD and I just haven't realized it. If so, please
send me a brief message to let me know how this could
be done.
