#5 Pre-installed components affect DPSP installer
DPSP installer 1.0.2 Windows Vista Ultimate (32-bit) and Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit)
I attempted to install DPSP on a virtual machine where Java 6 and OO.org 3.1 were already installed.
The DPSP installer correctly identified the pre-installed components and flagged them as 'skip'.
After the installation, I was unable to run the DPR via the executable. I could only run it via the Jar file.
DPR runs Ok if I install the DPSP:
* after I install OO.org on a fresh Vista or 7 install
* on a fresh Windows Vista of 7 install.
From the above, it appears that having Java installed prior to running the DPSP installer will result in problems running the PSP components. While we recommend a clean install of Windows prior to installing DPSP, this may be difficult for some to achieve.
