To keep it short, GTALK / Google Apps user should disable SASL (until this is fixed
in the Smack library) but MAKE sure to have TLS enabled, otherwise the password
would be send in plain text.

Google Talk is no longer supported by google. I could not find any references to it on our homepage except for a note on GTALK deprecation on http://www.saros-project.org/faq.
