Nice to see this in one easy to open app instead of two. However, it doesn't solve my problem: I cannot get any ports to list in my viewer. I had this problem in the previous versions of Port View, and I have it now. Does anyone know what I might be missing? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 OK, let's check your DP installation first. Open Terminal.app and type in "/opt/local/bin/port list" . What does that show? Hi, Kevin. I just tried the command you gave, /opt/local/bin/port list, and here's what it gave: Warning: Can't open index file for source: file:///Users/brandon/darwinports/dports port search failed: No index(es) found! Have you synced your source indexes? OK, so is that problem? Thanks John On Jul 8, 2005, at 1:24 AM, Kevin Walzer wrote: > /opt/local/bin/port list |

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 John, Yes, it means that DarwinPorts isn't installed correctly, although I'm not sure exactly what the problem is. Can you try running "sudo /opt/local/bin/port selfupdate" from the terminal? That should pull all the latest updates onto your machine. Hi Kevin. I ran sudo /opt/local/bin/port selfupdate, and got: Unable to open port: Could not find Portfile in ./ Yep. Should I just uninstall and reinstall? On Jul 10, 2005, at 10:40 PM, Kevin Walzer wrote: > sudo /opt/local/bin/port selfupdate |

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Yes, try reinstalling. If that doesn't work, ask the DarwinPorts list--someone there will definitely know better than me what the issue is.
