i have downloaded the above software for a mac DGP4X, however after it has opened the zip part and you try to install it will not,all that is coming up is my terminal
what am i doing wrong?

Dpg4x is not very well packaged on OSX. For Windows and many Linux flavours there are installer packages, but on OSX you'll need to install the video converter we use, mencoder, on your own. The quite technical details for how to do this can be found at: https://sourceforge.net/p/dpg4x/code/HEAD/tree/trunk/dpg4x/INSTALL.osx
Currently we have no active maintainers with Mac/OSX hardware or knowledge and cannot easily improve the OSX packaging.

Closing this as a duplicate of request #7. Even with the new upcoming 3.0 releae there is no packaging for OSX. But the installation is using more standard Python (setuptools and installing the Fedora rpm in Python directories) so it should probably be easier to run 3.0 on OSX.
