Can some thing be added to the TODO list?

I would like to see there "Shortening of LaTeX references."
The LaTeX is getting out of the pool (the reference / command pool) too 
soon.
Can there be a counter of references?
To be able troubleshoot the things around references.
1) how many places are referenced -total.
2) how many times is the referenced place used.
