Have to admit, I've never seen Doxygen crash for any reason! Recently our doxygen usage has seen us use many libraries all linked via tagfiles without any problem, so it doesn't sound like your problem is the same as our problem. We don't use notitle so I don't think that's our problem either. We do however do something like: \anchor mainpage_anchor \mainpage Our Main Page Maybe the anchor causes a problem somehow?
