Just tried the doxygen 1.8.6 CHM, and Ctrl++/Ctrl+-/Ctrl+0 (reset font
size) work for me on Windows 7 (and IE11 which I believe is what actually
displays the pages?). You have to make sure to first click in the main area
of the CHM viewer to set the keyboard focus --- otherwise the focus by
default is the left side Contest/Search/Favorites area and those keys won't
work.

You are right, the Font button is visible but does nothing.
