[Doxygen-develop] Fwd: [Doxygen-users] Doxygen XML's refid attribute

I'm generating documentation XMLs using doxygen after each commit to a version
control system repository and I have some questions about the refid attribute:

1) How is doxygen XML's refid attribute created?
2) Can it be used to identify the documentation of namespaces, classes and
functions between different revisions?
