I just discovered that Doxygen gets confused with:

	    /* printf("J");	/* debug */

Perry,

Which version are you using? as the current version supplies some extra
information about this problem.
It is also a construct that according to the standard is not allowed.
See also the release notes of version 1.8.7: Add warning when encountering
a nested comment start (/*) without matching end (*/).
