I have tried Doxygen 1.3.7 & 1.3.8 these days. My platform is Sun-Fire-880
(SunOS 5.8) with Sun CC (Sun Workshop C++ 6.0 P1).
By default Doxygen automatically detects my platform as solaris-cc and
compiles using Sun CC (Sun Workshop C++ 6.0 P1). Unfortunately the resulted
executable is not stable. Core dumps happen quite often.
However, if I mannually set platform as solaris-g++ (gcc 2.95.3 in my box),
everything work just fine.
I guess that QString is the weak link.
In that case my suggestion is: by default Doxygen should prefer g++ than Sun
