Multiple definition of configuration parameter only keeps the last one.
Try to find the place where ALIASES is defined in your config file (I
suppose you kept the original one) :
ALIASES = "........"
and add the following line just after :
ALIASES += "z=BLAH"
(don't foget the '+', it's the key !)
This should work now.
