Attached is a file that shows the Doxygen tags needed
to create a variety of paragraph formatting
combinations in Doxygen HTML output.
I'm a technical writer, and I converted a large help
system to Doxygen from RoboHelp. The software being
documented is for an engineering environment and has
some long help pages with all kinds of formatting. So
I had to experiment and find ways to make it look
right. For most projects this level of detail is
unnecessary, but it's useful for more complex content
or for help to be used by a wider audience (especially
if there's a writer willing to fuss over the details).
Run it through Doxygen and see what you think. I'd
appreciate any comments.
(If it's of interest, the conversion from Robohelp
involved writing a lot of VBA code to clean up the
Word/Robohelp document and add tags, then a Perl
script to move all the blocks into the source.)
