In Doxygen 1.6.x and earlier, the collaboration diagram will show all members regardless its visibility. I have found that 1.8.x does not show the private members, unless EXTRACT_PRIVATE is set to YES. Is this an intentional change? I really like to be able to show all data members in the diagram without documenting them.... Best regards, Yongwei -- Wu Yongwei URL: http://wyw.dcweb.cn/ |

Hi, If interested, you can download the doxygen binaries compiled for MS Windows from http://sourceforge.net/projects/doxygen/files/snapshots/doxygen-1.8-svn/windows This is the place where you should find also the next releases. Name of the archive file is doxygenw20130904_1_8_5.zip The related translator report can be found inside the directory http://sourceforge.net/projects/doxygen/files/snapshots/doxygen-1.8-svn/translator_reports/ Name of the archive file is tr20130904_1_8_5.zip The binaries are NOT created automatically, so it may happen that some newer sources were not compiled because I am not present to do that or I forgot... ;) Regards, Petr -- Petr Prikryl (prikryl at atlas dot cz) |

It appears that this posting did not make its way to gmane via email, thus posted again (directly via gmane): What is the config to have Doxygen show the call and caller graphs across namespaces? Here a sandbox example where the call edge A:fa -> B.fb should be generated by Doxygen. If this is not possible, is there are call graph feature on namespace level? namespace A{ int fa(int x){ return B.fb; }; }; namespace B{ int fb(){ return 5; }; }; Your help is much appreciated! Best J. |

With the settings I mentioned I get the same result as shown on the page you referred to (which is also the correct result). Regards, Dimitri |

Yes I noticed the same. I guess this is an unwanted behavior?Albert <alb...@gm...> ha scritto:Dear Fabio, Thank you for your explanation. I can reproduce the problem now. When I start from a directory in the source tree this directory is not mentioned in the lists, the files in this directory are seen as local files and not as files with a directory prepended. When I'm in _src I see the directories _mods, _admin and src, but the files from _src are shown without a path even when I specify ../_src in the input (and for the others ../_mods etc.) for the others the ../ is also removed. I'm not sure if this is intended behavior. Note it has nothing to do with the _ in front of the directory name, when I go to the src directory the src is not mentioned either. Albert On Thu, Aug 22, 2013 at 10:05 AM, Fabio Mosti <fa...@vi...> wrote: dear Albert, thank you for your answer! I guess the problem was that I were launching the doxygen command from inside the directory tree; calling it from outside (and putting the configuration file outside too, changing properly the paths in it) seems to solve the problem. I don't know if it is a bug or just my fault (I don't know if doxygen can't parse a tree from "within") have a nice day! This configuration doesn't work. I tried with different settings: USE_MDFILE_AS_MAINPAGE = docs/mainpage.md USE_MDFILE_AS_MAINPAGE = mainpage.md USE_MDFILE_AS_MAINPAGE = README.md USE_MDFILE_AS_MAINPAGE = README None of then worked. My index.html page is still empty. Could someone tell me what I am doing wrong? Doxygen version 1.8.4 Thanks. |

Hi, given the .cpp used as single doxygen input struct D { int d; }; class A { int a; }; class B : public A { int b; }; class C : public B { int c; D d; }; the class dependency diagram does not show the dotted arrow C -> D (cf. example http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/aix/library/au-learningdoxygen/#fig1). Any config issue I have overlooked? Your help is appreciated! Best J. |

dear Albert, thank you for your answer! Hi, I'm having a little trouble with PREDEFINED macros. I use '#define' to namespaces in my C++ libraries. So... namespace name { } Would become... #define NAMESPACE_NAME_ namespace name { #define _NAMESPACE_NAME } I use like this becouse of the possibility to turn namespaces on and off on the fly. I am tring to define this in the Doxyfile with the following syntax: PREDEFINED = NAMESPACE_NAME_:="namespace name {" PREDEFINED += _NAMESPACE_NAME:="}" But it's not working. Doxygen is not recognizing the namespaces and writting the string "NAMESPACE_NAME_" before each class name definition. How is the right way to set those values? Thanks in advance. |

hello everybody, I have a problem with a project where we have directories with similar names only different for a trailing underscore i.e. "_mods/" and "mods/" in the file view of my html generated documentation I can only see the directory without "_" other directories with trailing underscore but without a similar directory without it are correctly present in the list. Hi, I'd like to document sources that use templates like this: In file src.c: #include "superclass.h" #define CLASS MyClass #define SUPER SuperClass #include "src_templ.c" void MyClass::myfunc(void) { ... } and in file src_tmpl.c: class CLASS : public SUPER { ... public: void myfunc(void); } Currently, Doxygen does not find the class MyClass or any of its methods. What am I supposed to do? Thanks, Malte |

Hello, I have a project that uses several libraries developed by other people. I have managed to document my project using doxygen and generated call graphs. However, non of my call graphs show calls to any of the functions contained in the third party libraries. I have tried including the path to the third party libraries header files as part of my INPUT. The problem with this is that the header files are now listed in my File List section and I don't want that. I just want my own project files, but I do want to get a full call tree graph. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. |

An Update; I downloaded updates to Cygwin64 and now: [1] My terminal is a minttty [2] Doxygen does indeed terminate but: in the Win7 Task Manager: a. Doxygen terminates as an Application b. Doxygen does not terminate as a Process c. The mintty does not return from execution Now I'm wondering whether this is a mintty issue and not a Doxygen issue. Has anyone else experienced this? art ________________________________ Hi; I just installed cygwin64 version of doxygen and ran it against an existing project, it seemed to run into an infinite loop. I ran the same project using the cygwin32 version of doxygen and it completed successfully. Not an issue for me since I can always run the 32-bit version, but has any one else noted this behavior? (And buried in the weeds) could you add an option to interrogate doxygen to find out what version is running? Cygwin uses "-v", I don't know if this is (or is becoming) a Linux standard. art |

Hi, A third party vendor (Microsemi) has inserted doxygen documentation into their provided source code. Problem is just that they have chosen to use @mainpage in each and every main header file. When I run doxygen on the source hierarchy, doxygen picks the first @mainpage and uses that, the rest is ignored. I understand from a google search that this is the way things work. I have prevented the above behaviour by creating my own mainpage.dox file and put the location of that file in front of the Microsemi code in INPUT: INPUT = . path/to/third_party_code Now, I have full control over the @mainpage, but I actually wanted to collect all the documentation Microsemi has provided in their header files. As an experiment, I modified a few of the Microsemi headerfiles to use @page instead of @mainpage. Now, the documentation shows up in the navigation bar. Problem is just that @page "steals" the first word in the title to use for page name. By inserting a unique filename I can fix this, too. The problem is that this is third party driver code for a Cortex-M3 CPU, and every time I generate the support package, the source code is regenerated, overwriting any manual changes I do in the files. I also don't expect Microsemi to change their code. Is there a way to do on-the-fly change of @mainpage title to @page <base_name> title after having picked up the first @mainpage which I provide in my mainpage.dox file? -- Svenn |

[...] Hello Joshi. Do you mean the top navigation bar, which is light blue shaded and shows for example the "Mainpage" link? The appearance is rendered from a background image "tab_b.png". This graphics is only 1x36 pixels and contains also the color gradient. There are some other similar files for other kinds of tabs, too. If you just like to change the color, then look at the HTML_COLORSTYLE_HUE config option: "The HTML_COLORSTYLE_HUE tag controls the color of the HTML output. Doxygen will adjust the colors in the stylesheet and background images according to this color. Hue is specified as an angle on a colorwheel,..." (quote from doxygen.conf) If want to change more than color, then could make your own color gradient and replace that file. Or you could make an alternative file and edit the CSS rules (in tabs.css or install your own CSS file with HTML_STYLESHEET config option) .tablist li { float: left; display: table-cell; background-image: url('tab_b_CUSTOMIZED.png'); /* HERE */ line-height: 36px; list-style: none; } Clemens |

For getting the version info, try the longer `--version` option. I recommend to download the Doxygen for Windows from http://sourceforge.net/projects/doxygen/files/snapshots/doxygen-1.8-svn/windows/ Or you can use the official installer (near the top of the page) or you can download a zip archive with the binaries. The zip contains both 32 and 64-bit versions and both Debug and Release versions (i.e. four binaries).
