I ve downloaded and installed DoxyComment on Visual Studio 2005 (v 8.0.50727.42 to be exact). The installation seems to go well but I cannot manage to get DoxyComment's toolbar appear when I restart VS2005. I do have a line for doxycomment in the Add in Manager but checking DoxyComment does not change anything. Any idea ?
Thank you
Jong

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling DoxyComment? If that doesn't help I would like a bit more information on your setup in order to track the bug down.
Does DoxyComment print any error messages in the output window (DoxyComment pane)?
What edition of VS 2005 are you running? Which language?
What locale and language is your Windows installation running?
Thanks
Troels

I too have a similar problem.
My VS2005 is Japanese Standard edition on Japanse WIndows XP SP2.
I cannot see any Doxycomment toolbar.
The addin path seems to be correctly set because it can be seen 'tools-options-addin/macro security' tab.
But the Addin-manager indicates no addins are available.
No error message on output window.
Thanks in advance.

Though the installation seemed to be completed successfully, no DoxyComment pane, no Toolbar!
No error messages when starting VS2005.
The addin-manager indicates no available addins.
Incongruously, DoxyComment is registered to 'tools-options' as follows:
+-text editors
+-DoxyComment
+-HTML designer
DoxyComment.addin and DoxyComment.dll are in the folder
'C:\Program Files\SourceForge.net\DoxyComment',
that can be seen at 'tools-options-addin/macro security addin file path'.
I cannot understand why VS2005 doesn't recognize DoxyComment. VS2005's bug?
Should I do something after installing DoxyComment?

I found that a BLANK line in the Addin-manager's table with a check box.
When checking the box, there appears a DoxyComment pane output window,
and say "Warning: Failed to load satellite assembly for culture 'ja-JP'- defaulting to English version."
Still toolbar doesn't appear.
If you can solve the problem,
I would like to wait for a revised version
because I have not found any useful documetation tool
for VS2005 VC++.
Thanks

Thanks for the info.. I think that this issue could be related to loading of the standard resource required by VS2005. If you open the Help -> About dialog and scroll down the list of installed products, do you see DoxyComment? Or is there another empty entry?
Sorry about the trouble, but the add-in system is not very well documented and I can't test the functionality in localized versions of VS as I only have the English version..
Thanks for your help!

No messages in the output window? And you are sure you selected the DoxyComment pane (Show output from)?
This is really strange- if the creation of the UI fails it should print an exception message. .. I'll look into it. ..

I have the same problem (Swedish XP Home Edition, English Visual Studio 2005 Standard) and it DoxyComment is listed under Help -> About Microsoft Visual Studio.
Suggest in this thread: http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4005480
In the list of installed products, there is a empty line, which is perhaps DoxyComment.
I would like to know if the problem is critical.
If not, I'm going to watch the status.
Thanks.
