If you don't use it, disabling the navigation bar seems to help a lot. I guess it uses the MS code model too, and somehow the nav bar and Doxycomment don't get on.
Tools->Options->Text Editor->C/C++, uncheck Navigation Bar

Actually I don't use DoxyComment !
After the first use of DoxyComment, VS2005(prof. version) will be so slowly, that I must restart my IDE!

Same for me. After using Doxycomment to add a comment block, my laptop's cpu usage goes from 1% to 40% and stays there, and the UI becomes sluggish.
