600MB CD image downloaded by FTP stops 16kb before EOF!

I've now used the latest version to download a 600MB CD
image by http. This works fine. I then switched to
using FTP as it's more efficient. Neither file will
complete, they both sit with just 16kb left to
download. How frustrating! As I say, I've replicated
this twice on different FTP downloads.
Any chance you can fix this so I can finish my
downloads :-)
Cheers,
Andy

HEllo, hmm I guess it must really be frustating yes.
Well I couldn't reproduce this here, so I'm a little annoyed.
Do you have any sample of URLs I could try that shows the
problem? (it would help also if the size is quite small) :)
Thanks in advance :)

Sorry, the images are on my company intranet so I can't
point you to them. I've tried some public FTP images and I
now can't get it to download FTP files at all from

Sorry I'm not more help,

You won't believe me, but this was a Windows personalised eXPerience 'feature' intended for us, bad guys. Same problem here at about the same time (2003 or 2004) and a completly different download manager.
I remember that the error was reporting the DM was 'unable to reach host', 'server not found' or similar but only when resuming; however when added another file from the same server server, it was always found. How curious!, not?.
