Hi DoubleCommand users, DoubleCommand 1.7 is now available, adding support for Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) and dropping support for 10.4 and 10.5. -Michael. http://doublecommand.sourceforge.net/ |

Hello DoubleCommand users! 64-bit support is finally here, whether you just want Snow Leopard to stop complaining every time you open System Preferences, or you want to run the 64-bit kernel. The 64-bit support is the only thing that has changed since 1.6.8, and this new version will work on any Mac OS X 10.4 or up computer, PowerPC or Intel, 32-bit or 64-bit. Download from the site as usual. http://doublecommand.sourceforge.net/ Enjoy, -Michael. |

Hi DoubleCommand users, I've uploaded DoubleCommand 1.6.3, which has only a very minor change to allow using backslash as forward delete with the Option key to support deleting to word boundaries. The web site has also been updated to both make it easier for me to update, and also hopefully easier to find what you're looking for. The focus for DoubleCommand now is having settings per keyboard so you can, for example use a PC style keyboard with a Mac laptop and not have to switch between the two settings all the time. I'm looking at ways to do this now. -Michael. http://doublecommand.sourceforge.net/ |

Hello DoubleCommand users, DoubleCommand 1.6.2 has just been released, it fixes a bug where the PC style Home/End keys would make the Command key stick, and allows both shift keys to be used for the forward delete feature. http://doublecommand.sf.net/ -Michael. |

Hi DoubleCommand users, This new release fixes a bug with Command -> Option, the Command key will no longer act like both keys together. Also added support for PC style Control + Home/End, which act like Home and End for the Mac usually do. Available from http://doublecommand.sourceforge.net/ as always. Enjoy, -Michael. ################################################# ***** CONFIDENTIAL ***** We apologise if this message has been sent to you in error. Hello DoubleCommand users! The new 1.5 beta 1 is Panther compatible - so all of you who have been waiting give it a go, and get your keyboard back under control. http://doublecommand.sourceforge.net/ -Michael. |

Hi DoubleCommand users! DoubleCommand 1.4.4 is now declared final. This version is for Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar only, it will not function in 10.3 Panther (but it doesn't cause any problems either). The IOHIDSystem that DoubleCommand uses is no longer present in Panther, and so a new way of providing key remapping will have to be found before there will be a version of DoubleCommand for Panther. Those of you who use the function key behaviour swapping stay tuned, I will be attempting to swap the behaviour using the same mechanism that Mac OS 9 used - which will mean that this is not only more accurate, but will probably also work with Panther. http://doublecommand.sourceforge.net/ -Michael. |
