Hi there,
I installed this app based on the screenshot on the project page, that shows "Swap f-key behavior on new 'Books".
I want to be able to set so that F1 is F1 not brightness, unless I press the fn key.
I checked the version history, but there was no mention of it being removed.
Is this available somehow, or not?
Thank you.

You are quite right, this was removed during the transition to a new method of intercepting keys, since the OS already had this feature for a while by that stage.
Look in the Keyboard preference pane, and you can change the behaviour of the f keys with respect to the fn key.

Greetings! I just bough a Logitech Solar Keyboard for Mac and the option in the Keyboard preference pane is not there. Plug in an Apple keyboard, it's there. Remove it, it's not. So how do I go about remapping the fn keys?? The Help instructions were not very clear - by clicking a couple of options, some keys were remapped, some not. Help would be greatly appreciated!!!
