Hello,
i want to remap certain keys of my keyboard. E.g. for a backslash i have to type alt+shift+7 which is disgusting if you have to type this character often. So i wanted to alter my right apple-key (only the right one) to an alt-key and move the backslash to alt+ß (have a german layout so altgr+ß is backslash on usual german keyboards, so i am quite familiar with it and it would make things a lot easier).
Is this possible with DoubleCommand or do you know any other way of achieving these results?
Regards,
Hagen

Hi Hagen,
First off I'm not involved in the project, so I'm not authority, I speak merely from my limited personal experience. That being said, I'm pretty sure that what you describe can easily be accomplished. Although such behavior is not explicitly supported, it would be quite easy for you to add code for it. The place that handles replacement is Substitute.cpp, and all the key code defs are in MBHIDHack.h.
Also, Key Codes, which is freely available, is great for finding out what the ADB codes for various keys are.
Hope this helps,
Casey
