You aren't missing anything but dotNetRDF probably is

I'm not sure that we actually support reasoning properly for Stardog 3.x and
above, I no longer actively use Stardog and the developer who was
maintaining the connector is no longer active in the project

Filed as CORE-461 
(http://dotnetrdf.org/tracker/Issues/IssueDetail.aspx?id=461) which we'll
try and fix for the next release
