    Hi,

Everything is great when trying to embed an image in an email.

However, when I open the email in Lotus notes, I get the following error "#29:3".  Once I ok this messagebox, the email is intact and the image is rendered, however, I do not want this error message.

The error is resolved when swiftfile is turned off, but I can't make my entire company turn off swiftfile.

Without an embedded image, there is no error.  So, it is the embedding of the image that causes this issue.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    thanks

      Hi-

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.  Probably the best solution is to host the images on an external server and reference them that way, rather than to embed them.  If your company's Lotus Notes configuration policy is to prevent them, you might not have another choice.

It's actually better practice to reference images externally, too, because it (a) causes less load on the server by spreading out the download times (and allows for proxy caching and all that good stuff) and (b) it tends to look less like spam to spam filters.

      See: http://emaillabs.com/articles/email_articles/html_email_design_tips.html

      Cheers!
