This release is all about the handling of languages other than English in Do the Work. Bug fix release to correct an oversight in the language handling logic. The User Response interface was using the original English questions, even when another language was the default. When a new question was set for a language other than English, it wasn't becoming the default. This is now fixed. However, it brings with it a slight visual problem. If a question is changed in one language, saved as default, and then the language is changed, that custom question remains on the main panel until the program is restarted, though the other questions change to the new language. This is because the custom question has no translation to other languages. I am now writing the default questions to the config file on language change, so the translation occurs properly on restart. As other language changes don't take effect until restart, I am not too concerned about this because a restart will probably take place at that point anyhow. It is possible this necessity to restart on language change will go away in future as logic is put in place to deal with it better. I consider this pretty low priority, as I don't envision users switching languages willy nilly all the time. And right now, there aren't even languages to switch to. :-) The messages.pot file had an error in one of the user facing messages. This message had an embedded new line so I'm assuming the extraction process didn't capture it properly. It has been corrected manually. stan |
