Version 3.05 released

DoseLab version 3.05 has been released. Major changes include:

Comments and Treatment type fields have been added to the patient information screen. The Patient ID number is also able to save non-numeric entries.
You may now read treatment planning system files directly from DoseLab, without having to first convert them to TIF files. During the open file dialog, select the extension that represents your file type.
You may now access previous dose comparisons without saving anything other than the MAT file. While opening a computed image, select a *.MAT extention.
There is now a program to delete patient identification information from MAT files useful for sharing dose comparison information.
The absolute and percent dose difference images use a new colormap that more clearly distinguishes sort of bad areas from really bad areas.
The FTP program now handles file types other than TIF. Please see the new Ftp program.txt preference file for more information.
You may now right click on images and lines and interactively change many of their properties. If an image has contour lines displayed on it, you may have to right click a corner of the image to see this menu.
The single image analysis program now has a recently used files menu.
A new comparison tool, 2D dose/distance histograms, has been added. This brings up an image showing a 2D histogram showing the percent of the comparison that has various values of distance to agreement and percent differences. This tool is useful for determining dose and distance criteria.
The retrospective analysis program has been updated. Histograms are now shown that more clearly represent differences between selected parameters. For example, if you select dose normalization as functions of treatment month and treatment site, you will see a line graph that plots the normalization as a function of time and a histogram that shows the average normalization for each treatment site side-by-side.

Version 3.04 released

This is a minor update, with some improvements and small bugfixes:

The flatness and symmetry program can now be used in the standalone, Matlab-independent version of DoseLab. The symmetry calculations now find the maximum difference in symmetry along the width of the profile.

An image smoothing program has been added in the Image tools menu of the Single image analysis program, along with the ability to flip and rescale images.... read more

Version 3.03 released

- The TPS to TIF conversion program has been updated with Eclipse DCM2ASCII output and General ASCII import options. A file necessary for reading DCM images is also included that was missing in Version 3.02.

- Most display screens have a basic 3D display option now. Click the Plot 3D menu and a new figure will open, with the 3D plot. Click the button that looks like a circular arrow to rotate the 3D image. This feature is pretty gimmicky, but really neat to look at.... read more

Version 3.02 released

DoseLab 3.02 has been released. Go to http://doselab.sourceforge.net/ or http://www.doselab.com/ to download.

Version 3.02 includes a program that converts Pinnacle, Eclipse, CMS, Helax, Plato, and RIT images to TIF files. Our clinic cannot extensively test these conversions (examples from the program ePin were used to test these conversions), thus it is recommended that all conversions be carefully checked.... read more

Version 3.01 released

DoseLab 3.01 was released, fixing a bug in the "Film calibration.txt" file and changing the calibration files from DAT extensions to the more easily editable CSV extension (as MS Excel associates itself with these files by default). The actual contents and contructions of the calibration files did not change. The flatness and symmetry program was slightly expanded and a few other minor bugs were fixed.
