DOS-IS version 1.0 has finally been released. This is the version that I promised from the start, with the windowed inputs and alerts. It is finished. If you experience any problems with DOS-IS please contact me!
It's been a while since I last did any work on this project. It's not abandoned. I've been working very hard on it, rewriting most of the code from scratch. The input window system is partially in place, and is progressing nicely. I'm going to merge the file copy/unzip code from the old source because I'm too lazy to rewrite that part. Bear with me.
Only a few days after starting my new code, I have uploaded a working copy of the source code along with a binary. The specifications for the DOS-IS.INI have changed slightly from the "manual" that I wrote, but I have included a sample DOS-IS and DISKx.INI for you to play with. If you are interested, check it out.
Hey everyone. About a month ago, my computer suffered a fatal crash. I lost everything. All of my DOS-IS code was destroyed... or so I thought. Today as I was cleaning out a bunch of old CD-ROM's, I found an old copy of the source code. Sure, I could have downloaded the code I have here, but I didn't want to have to go through all that. Well, after seeing what a mess the code was in, I decided to re-write from scratch, using my "manual" as a reference. Well, that's all for now. Hopefully I'll actually be able to release something soon.
