However, you won't get much more static analysis at compile time than Lua. Some people don't like the scooping of Python either. I do find Python more robust than Lua and trust it much more for large scale projects however its speed performance and bulk put it more in "heavyweight" scripting category. I like both Python and Lua and see a need for both. I still need to finish off my networking code in Doris but have been busy out doing non-computery stuff of late, and a lot of work. After that I fancy integrating ODE into Doris. But I may go back to q2x before ODE stuff. Did you finish the GLUI stuff? Nick |
