DooM Legacy 1.29 pre-release 7 is now available. This version is available for Dos, Windows and Linux. This has became possible thanks to the help of new members in the team. I would like to thanks them for the good job they did during this last month ;-)
Ok, it's not the final one as I have announced it before. We had a big problem, but now, it's fixed and thus this is the final step before the final version. Only bugs will be fixed for the final version (no new features added). That's why, we'd like you to test it and report bugs you may find.
What's new in this version :
- Support for TeamTNT's Boom port
- More realistic coronas
- Better network support
- A lot of bugs fixed
- Much improved Linux version
- Much improved dynamic and static lighting
- Better decals (aka wallsplats) but still a problem with clipping.

Just to remind you:
This version improves the 'Open entry' code a lot (ok, it's not yet perfect, but it's playable, particularly if you have a good connection) and has all the features from the previous betas posted here. This version works with Software mode and Glide/OpenGL/MiniGL mode, in the Linux, Dos and Windows environment. There are still some remaining bugs we want to fix before final, but this version should be considered as a lot more stable than previous ones. Fiannly, before being able to use fully OpenGL DooM Legacy, you must have a main IWAD file (like doom.wad, doom1.wad, doom2.wad,...) included with an original version of Doom (shareware or commercial).
Enjoy!
Thierry, for the DooM Legacy Team
