On Maemo5/Nokia N900.
With small screen toolbars icons uses too much horizontal space.

Try setting the size to 16 (Windows->Settings->Display->Location Toolbar Icon Size). You'll need a fresh build.
What menu is the second picture of? Bookmarks? History? Pizza Hut?
When you hover over the Add New Tab button, is its border highlighted properly? Does the button appear complete when highlighted?
Second screenshot is "Hildon Touch View Menu" [ http://wiki.maemo.org/Legacy_Maemo_5_Documentation/Graphical_UI_Tutorial/Menus ]
It activates when the user presses the window title -> shows everything from all menus and do not follow a hierarchical structure (needs some maemo-specific patching). So currently menu can't be used at all.
With touchscreen I can't hover. I can press and not release, and then there are highlighting.
Did you try the new button size?
button size: I can't access the menu (yet). Can it be tuned with ini-file? Or compile time?
Please update your repository again.
Modify your Dooble.ini file, adding locationToolbarIconSize=@Size(16 16) to the settingsWindow section.
You can also try opening the Settings window via Control + G.
Modifying ini-file: IconSize changes as expected, but each icon still uses same space (not as expected). Look: http://imagepaste.nullnetwork.net/viewimage.php?id=5029 (two screenshots merged).
I'm not sure what this do:
The style option sets Qt's style. Dooble doesn't set a specific style unless you're on OS X. Is qtconfig available on your system?
Decreased spacing in the URL frame. You'll need to add the macro Q_WS_MAEMO_5 to your project file. Give it a try.
Have you tried the update?
I can make spacing bigger (even worse as expected), but smaller doesn't work (looks same than without changing).
Did you add Q_WS_MAEMO_5 to the project (dooble.arm.pro?) file?
(DEFINES += Q_WS_MAEMO_5 ...)
Please open another ticket if you encounter more issues.
Replaced Q_WS_MAEMO_5 with DOOBLE_URLFRAME_LAYOUT_SPACING.
