Of course donitor was build to monitor your brave donkey clients but as you might know its tracking concept in essential is not bound to donkey clients at all. So you may also use donitor to create graphs for your overnet-client, ftp-server, news-grabber or similar by specifiying the corresponding binary in the configuration ;).

As mldonkey is growing in popularity, i consistently get asked about compatibility of mldonkey and donitor.

To make it short - donitor monitors mldonkey without any problems ;)

And believe me, it is a good idea to have an eye on this firebrand-member of the donkey family ;)

this new releases offer a major performance improvements ;)

changes:
- switched graph-image-format from GIF to PNG
dramatic image-size reduction (up to factor 6)
nearly proportional improvements in web-access time

- detailed statistics for
* tcp-traffic (incoming / outgoing)
* udp-traffic (incoming / outgoing)
* server load (runqueue length)
* memory usage
* active peer connections

- Totals for tcp- and udp-traffic

- time-window relative absolute numbers for
maxima, minima, average and last known measurements

- high resolution, multi-dimensional, cool lookin graphs :) showing stats
for the last 12hours, last two days, last week and last month.
(other time windows possible)

The package monitors some (i hope the most signigicant) aspects of an eDonkey-Server or eDonkey-Client in respect to its tcp-connectivity behaviour. So to get to the point, this package monitors the traffic (peer-cumulative) and the number of connections caused by the eDonkey Server/Client.
