The build currently fails for this project (under linux, at least) because the 3rdparty/Makefile fails to download the sha1 file for libxls, and a subsequent step attempts to check the sha1. I've attached a version of 3rdparty/Makefile which includes the missing wget statement to retrieve the sha1 file, allowing the build to finish to completion.
