I took a look at the OpenDocument spec and fled in horror (I do NOT like RelaxNG). Is there a more concise description of the ODF elements? All I can offer is some advice: be general. Could there be a table containing text wrapped around an image, all in one cell? I don't know how far ODF goes. > However, maybe this is a good time to ask: Should the image > directive have a wrap/no-wrap option? Currently wrapping around objects is handled by classes and CSS (in HTML). We could provide a format-independent option for wrapping (that would be translated by each writer). > Or, is it only for ODF/oowriter where this would be usable? The ODF case sounds like a bug. Not sure if it's in OpenOffice, Open Document, or the oowriter though. ;-) What is the quality of the ODF generated by OpenOffice.org? If it's reasonable, you could manually mock up an example (an image inside a table) and see what the structure consists of. > Does LaTeX, for example, allow control of wrapping text around an > image?
