The PythonPoint writer in the sandbox that I've used from time to time appears to have bitrotted in the last year; now when I try and use it I get this: $ python2.4 drive.py Traceback (most recent call last): File "/Users/mwh/Source/docutils-sandbox/richard/pythonpoint/pythonpoint.py", line 327, in ? main(sys.argv[1]) File "/Users/mwh/Source/docutils-sandbox/richard/pythonpoint/pythonpoint.py", line 321, in main print pub.writer.write(document, pub.destination) File "/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.4/lib/python2.4/site-packages/docutils/writers/__init__.py", line 72, in write self.translate() File "/Users/mwh/Source/docutils-sandbox/richard/pythonpoint/pythonpoint.py", line 13, in translate self.document.walkabout(visitor) File "/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.4/lib/python2.4/site-packages/docutils/nodes.py", line 155, in walkabout child.walkabout(visitor) File "/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.4/lib/python2.4/site-packages/docutils/nodes.py", line 147, in walkabout visitor.dispatch_visit(self) File "/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.4/lib/python2.4/site-packages/docutils/nodes.py", line 1443, in dispatch_visit return method(node) File "/Users/mwh/Source/docutils-sandbox/richard/pythonpoint/pythonpoint.py", line 52, in visit_section name = node.attributes['name'] KeyError: 'name' Does this wave any flags at anyone? I haven't had the time to follow docutils development for some time :(, and am unlikely to have much time in the next week, which is when I need the output by :( :(. By the way, the reference handling in the PythonPoint writer looks weird (it accesses the 'refname' attribute); I'm not sure if it's correct, but I can't look into it now. -- For private mail please ensure that the header contains 'Felix Wiemann'. Quite possibly, it was writing by someone who I suspect didn't know fully what they were doing and then hacked by someone who *definitely* doesn't know what he's doing (me). Are you coming to EuroPython? I owe you a beer :) Cheers, mwh -- Those who have deviant punctuation desires should take care of their own perverted needs. -- Erik Naggum, comp.lang.lisp |

I didn't know of EuroPython and I didn't read your posting on June 23 for some reason (I only stumbled accidentally across it just now -- maybe my newsreader swallowed it?). And now it's too late to go to EuroPython. Banging my head against the wall. -- For private mail please ensure that the header contains 'Felix Wiemann'. Anyone want to do a Docutils sprint, ad hoc? -- For private mail please ensure that the header contains 'Felix Wiemann'.
